The 2024 TDN brought the glittering career of Adam Raga to a close, despite being a Sherco rider this season he has chosen to use a carbureted bike even though the production bike of the factory since 2023 has been fuel injected and this is what all the other factory riders have been using. At the 2024 TDN Adam made his first and possibly only appearance on the fuel injected Sherco. Two versions of this bike appeared over the weekend both with noticeable differences to the production version.
In the first picture you can see the standard production Scorpa/ Sherco with some of the main items highlighted with those that are not familiar with this bike.
On the Saturday, when the bike was first revealed several things are noticeable:
1. A different battery marked "1" is being used and fitted in a different location because of size restrictions
2. The positioning of the injector on the throttle body appears to be different which would suggest a different throttle body
3. What looks like a Tech Shock is fitted
4. The ignition cover appears to sit out past the sump plate so a heavier flywheel or weight may possibly be fitted or something else relating to the ignition.
5. Not shown in the picture, the standard bike uses the short reach BPMR6A spark plug, this bike is fitted with a long reach plug
On Sunday for the race the bike was slightly different:
1. The battery that was used on Saturday seems to have been replaced by a smaller unit
2. A Reiger shock is fitted back into the bike
3. In this image you can see the long reach plug
We can also assume that there will be other internal modifications to the engine and geometry of the frame making this bike completely different from the production model or the bikes that any of the other factory riders are on now.
The 2025 models may possibly be revealed at EICMA in November we'll see then if any of these things make their way to the production bike.
