Neutra, the Spanish manufacturer of the advanced Neutra K3 childrens trials bike has developed a kit which contains a motor paired with a 4 speed gearbox and a clutch that allows any Montesa 4RT variant of any year to be converted into a fully electric trials bike with equivalent performance and 5KG lighter than the 4 stroke model.
Honda have recently unveiled the RTL Electric which has been ridden by Takahisa Fujinami and Miquel Gelabert however this project from Neutra has already been in development for many years and will cost significantly less than the RTL Electric when it hits the market.
The conversion kit is ready for imminent release to the general public and is expected to cost in the range of €5000. At this time Neutra are also looking at the possibility of making the kit compatible with other brands currently on the market as well.
