When the air filter cage on my own TY 250 mono was past the point of no repair and I discovered that the original Yamaha part number 38V-14412-00 was obsolete I made my own from heat and oil resistant material. I also changed the design to make a full lip around the inside to hold the air filter rather than the older cage design which was brittle.
These fit all TY mono from 1984-1991 and TYZ from 1993-1998
